Hello all!
I’m so excited I leave for Disney World for a week on Saturday! Woo Hoo!
Anyways yesterday was a regular doctors visit, my doctor wasn’t there again, but hey that’s what happens with OB doctors right? Anyways, we listened to the heartbeat which was strong at 150, he was asleep so it was a bit lower than normal, but she said anywhere from 140-160 was average range depending on their activity level. I then have an appointment on the 9th for the GD (gestational diabetes) test, I have to drink an orange sugary soda and then wait and hour until they draw blood. Then my next appointment is October 23rd where I am getting my RhoGam shot for being RH negative. The nurse called yesterday saying I could take Dramamine on my flight this weekend as long as it was the non drowsy type. Also saying they needed me to come in early on my next appoitment for an ultrasound to check something. Well Carson and I were a bit freaked out so I called this morning. Apparently in the first ultrasound Christopher only had 2 vessels in his umbilical cord and he is suppose to have 3, but in my last ultrasound at 20 weeks he had 3, so my doctor just wants to make sure that he has all the blood vessels, otherwise I will have to be monitored a little more closely, because he could come a bit early in that case. But she said it was nothing to worry about and it wasn’t any type of emergency otherwise I wouldn’t be able to go to Florida.
On a side note I am allowed to ride Kilimajaro Safari, I asked the nurse this since on the ride it has an advisory for pregnant women due to the jolts and bumps. However, as I do ride in Carson’s truck on Dallas highways I didn’t see the difference. She said as long as I rode in the front to lessen the bumps that I should be fine. So WOO HOO get to ride the safari. She also said just to make sure to use common sense when riding, she said most of the rides have pregnant advisories, however some of them are for legal reasons, but she said no roller coasters and nothing that goes upside down. (Kinda already knew this.)
Just an update.
Love you all,
Jesica
